Victor and Nikki have a sordid history. They met in a gentleman’s club many years ago. She was younger than him, and he was intrigued by her beauty and confidence.

Victor has always found himself attracted to younger women. He had an affair with Ashley, Hope, and countless other women. The tides turned sometime in the '90s, when Nikki started to gain her independence and realized that she can be both a business woman and a mother. Victor was against this, because he wanted to be in control. He felt that his woman should be at home taking care of the children.

Because of that mentality, the couple broke up several times. Nikki had her own relationships with Brad and Jack. Those relationships fizzled, because somehow, Nikki and Victor eventually found their way back to each other.

Victor is currently involved with Sabrina, a woman his daughter’s age, who is also his daughter’s best friend. Nikki is involved with her former campaign manager, David Chow. As cruel and aloof as Victor has been to Nikki, he still cares about her wellbeing. He insists David is not worthy of Nikki’s love; and he is right. I have not felt this way for years, but I believe there is a possibility that Victor and Nikki might reunite.

Sabrina’s feelings for Victor seem unclear. Because of these feelings, she lost her best friend, Victoria. Even though Victoria indicated that Sabrina has a wealthy family, I wonder if the affection she shows Victor is not motivated by aspirations of financial or professional gain. Victor buys her expensive jewelry and an art studio. She accepts all of it without batting an eyelash. I think Sabrina is a bigger threat to the Newman family than Adam.

David is on a path leading him right out of Genoa City. His first mistake, other than lying to Nikki, was trusting Brad Carlton. He should have consulted with the people of Genoa City about Brad’s reputation. He trusts Brad, while Brad acts deceitfully and reels him in for his own professional advantage.
