Rose Art Color Start Products a Review

Color Start Jumbo 3 in 1 Desk-Easel-Storage

Color Start is an elephant shaped desk easel that opens up to hold art supplies. The set comes with a pair of shark scissors two animal makers that make noise when the cap is closed, 6 jungle animal crayons and10 sheets of plain white paper to color on. The shark scissors make chomping sounds when used and when you push down on the crayon sharpener you hear the elephant.

The set has two animal shaped markers monkey and a zebra that colors purple. The crayons have no paper and have a different animal head at the top. The crayons are a blue elephant, a red rooster, a yellow giraffe, a purple monkey, an orange tiger and a green alligator.

The elephant looks like it is peeking over the top of the desk from behind. The end of its trunk is the crayon sharpener. The sharpener pops in and out for easy use and empting. The case becomes the easel has four different inclines. Everything fits inside and it has a handle to take along.

All in all I liked this product. My son has started to be interested in coloring and drawing so I bought this because it appeals to his love of animals and gives him his own place to store his markers, crayons and scissors. So far it is holding up well and the makers are easy for him to grasp.

The only fault I have is with the crayons. The write well but because of the length and how thin they are they easily break. Most preschools and toddlers are not able to handle the crayons gently enough.

I bought more markers because we both love them but once the crayons are gone I will probably not replace them unless my son wants more.

It retails for $19.97 and can be found at large retail stores such as Wal-Mart and Target. I have been unable to locate this product online.

My First Jumbo Markers

These markers are designed to look like different animals and to be easy to use for toddlers and preschoolers. When the lids are snapped back on the animals make that animal’s noise.

I think it is a great idea to have a noise when the lid is back on. As a general rule young children do not get the caps back onto markers and the markers then dry out and have to be replaced. By having the markers make a noise the child will know that the lid is on tight.

Bull Dog – Red
Elephant – Blue
Monkey – Orange
Mouse – Yellow
Pig – Blue
Rabbit – Green
Sheep – Pink
Zebra – Black

Shark Safety Scissors

When used these scissors make chomping sounds. They do not cut skin or clothing, I tried. By looking at them they do not look as though they could cut anything but they do!
