The Teahouse Wrap

The Teahouse Wrap
Recently, a crochet colleague partnered with me to make a beautiful accessory to add to my wardrobe. Leah from "Leah & Stitch.". One of her signature items at handmade shows is The Teahouse Wrap, designed by Alexandra Tavel and posted on her blog called "Two of Wands."

The Perfect Accessory

Spring is a rather mercurial time in my neck of the woods. One day, the sun can be shining warmly, and the next, we can wake to a blanket of snow. Given my thin blood, I rely on cozy things to get me through until the warmth of summer is permanent. So, when Leah and I began chatting about a collaboration, I couldn't have been more excited about adding this beautiful, luxurious wrap to my wardrobe!
My Cozy Wrap

I dyed up some of my bespoke Superlux 19 micron Sustainable Merino yarn for the project, which calls for worsted weight. I'm in love with tonal neutrals, especially natural cream, so most of the shawl is beautifully naked wool, striped with a soft praline and blush. It goes with nearly everything in my closet, and it's so cozy!
My Cozy Wrap

It's easy to wrap around your shoulders for some reading, or wear as an oversized triangle scarf with a winter coat..or a spring tee, because some days you never know how the weather will turn.

As a crochet project, this wrap is great for a beginner, or for an experienced artist looking for a simple and rewarding pattern, and it's sure to gain you compliments every time you wear it!
