Adobe Portfolio First Look by Justin Seeley

This 43 minutes lynda.con course by Justin Seeley is a short introduction to Adobe Portfolio. He will take you step-by-step through setting up to publishing your own portfolio.
Seeley gives a quick overview of the features of Adobe Portfolio, from the portfolio account settings, the easy-to-use editor and Typekit fonts to syncing your portfolio with your Behance account. Next, he begins to build a sample portfolio.
Seeley begins with a detailed walk through of the editor and discusses the pre-design layouts. He covers the features of each layout and chooses one for the sample portfolio. He then gives you a short tour of each section of the page layout and discusses how to customize the layout using the editor toolbar and floating panel. You have the option to customize the settings for each part of the layout or disable each part by toggling them on or off.
The next step is to begin to build the sample project portfolio, by uploading content into the gallery. Once the images are uploaded, Seeley demonstrates how to choose a cover image for the project from your uploaded images, change the display order of the project images, add a description for each image and finally add tags and keywords.
In the last section of the course, Seeley discusses the image requirements for and how to upload a favicon and web clip graphic for your portfolio. He also covers how to use a custom domain name, add metadata for SEO, preview, publish and unpublish your portfolio.
Seeley is a graphic designer and software instructor, with over 50 hours of how-to podcasts on iTunes. I really appreciated that he tells his viewers how to contact him about the course. He does a good job demonstrating how to build a small project gallery but doesn't discuss customizing the contact page, adding custom pages or showing how the portfolio looks on Behance. The course was released 11/29/2016 and to date has 51,000 views.
