Doctor Stephen Strange is a brilliant, if somewhat egotistical, neurosurgeon living in New York. But his world comes crashing down when a tragic car accident leaves him and his hands permanently scarred. Unable to maintain his livelihood, Stephen Strange becomes desperate to find anything that could restore his hands to what they once were. After questioning Jonathan Pangborn, a paralysis patient that even Dr. Strange deemed a lost cause, Stephen is sent to find the mysterious Kamar-Taj where the Ancient One resides. Upon arriving, Dr. Strange realizes that the world he’s used to isn’t all that it seems to be as he tries to understand the realms of the mystic and metaphysical realms. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Dr. Strange”.

∙ While trying to recuperate, Stephen is on a video conference with another doctor who refuses to help with any further surgeries. In anger, Stephen pushes everything off his desk, including his computer. When he picks it up and places it back on the desk, just as Christine walks in, the laptop is noticeably closed. In the farther view of Stephen, when they start arguing, the computer is now open. Also during this time, the folder of papers what was on the table to the left of the computer (from the user’s point of view) are no longer there.

∙ CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! After the Ancient One’s death, Dr. Strange and Christine are washing their hands. In the closer, front view as Stephen is caressing her face, (just before they page Christine) his right hand is positioned in a way that his thumb is farther up, near the mole on her face. It cuts to a side view just as they page Christine and his hand is further down, closer to her chin.

∙ CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! Dr. Strange has a noticeable wound above his left from fighting Kaecilius and his followers in the New York Sanctum. The wound is mostly gone and clean when the Ancient One dies. But, a few moments later, when he walks through the portal and tells Mordo about her demise, the cut is back to its first original state.

“Doctor Strange” (2016) stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, Mads Mikkelsen, Tilda Swinton and Benjamin Bratt. It runs 115 minutes and is rated PG-13 for sci-fi violence and action throughout, and an intense crash sequence.
