Annie (1982)

Annie (1982)
The infamous red-headed little orphan lives in a girl's home in New York that's run by the unscrupulous Miss Hannigan. Though she dreams of being reunited with her parents someday, Annie gets the opportunity of a lifetime when Grace Farrell, the assistant to Oliver Warbucks, chooses her to spend one week the grumpy billionaire. But when "Daddy" Warbucks posts a $50,000 reward for Annie's parents to come claim her, Miss Hannigan's brother, Rooster, and his companion, Lily, concoct a scheme to take the money and to get rid of the mischievous ten-year-old to boot. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching "Annie" (1982).

∙ Grace Farrell is in Miss Hannigan's office telling her what type of orphan Mr. Warbucks is looking for. She gets out of her chair and approaches Annie. Grace is holding gloves, her purse and a case in her left hand when she walks over to Annie and says "what about this child". It cuts to a closer view of Annie and Grace has her hands on each of Annie's shoulder and her hands are empty.

∙ When she leaves the orphanage with Grace and gets in the car, Annie is sitting in the middle between Grace and Sandy, the dog. It cuts to a close-up of Annie telling everyone bye and she's at the door with one handing holding onto the window and waving with the other. It cuts to an outside view of the car and she's in the middle once again, away from the windows.

∙ Annie and Punjab are "flying planes" in Mr. Warbucks' office. Although Punjab's plane is supposed to be flying under his mind control, the strings holding the plane up can be seen.

∙ Mr. Warbucks is writing out the check to Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Mudge. He prints out the name in the view of him writing it. But when Lily takes the check and holds it in front of her, the Ralph Mudge name is in cursive handwriting.

∙ When Warbucks and the police arrive at the bridge, Lily is shown running along the railroad track and then steps out toward the truck. When Warbucks gets out of the car and steps on the tracks himself, Lily can be seen in the background along the tracks again and then steps to toward the truck.

∙ CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! At the very end, when Miss Farrell joins "Daddy" Warbucks and Annie at the fountain, the rear view shows Sandy is sitting between Annie and Warbucks and Annie's arms are by her side. It cuts to a close-up, front view as the fireworks start and Sandy is standing in front of them with Annie holding onto Warbucks. It cuts back to the rear view and they're back in their original position. They've moved again when the scene cuts back to the close-up.

"Annie" (1982) stars Albert Finney, Carol Burnett, Tim Curry, Bernadette Peters, Ann Reinking, Geoffrey Holder and Aileen Quinn. It runs 127 minutes and is rated PG for frightening/intense scenes.
