Digtital Planner Accessories
Digital accessories for digital planners and BuJos are a popular item to sell on marketplaces for creatives, such as Etsy and Creative Market. In this article, we will discuss some of the most popular digital items found on these marketplaces.
When creating assets for digital planners and BuJos, we need to decide the orientation and size for our planner. GoodNotes has both Landscape and Portrait orientation and several size options, including the GoodNotes Standard, A7, A6, A5, A4, A3, Letter and Tabloid (see screenshot).
The Portrait orientation planner usually has vertical single pages. The Landscape orientation can have single page or two-page spreads (see screenshot).
Based on that decision, you can decide the sizes for your stickers and accessories. Let's take a look at the most common items.
Accessories
Covers - Planner covers are PDF files that will be imported into GoodNotes. The cover design covers the entire page in GoodNotes. Many cover designs range from solid colored or patterned covers to photographs of physical planner binders. Usually these covers have a few common details such as a spiral or tape binding or elastic bands (see screenshot).
Dividers - Section dividers are the first page for a section of the planner. These special pages usually have a tab with text indicating the purpose of the section. These dividers are hyperlinked from the Index or Home page and decorated in several styles or themes.
Page Inserts - The page inserts are an easy way to create a planner page. The designs can be anything such as a full page monthly, weekly or daily calendar. This is also a place for your full page To-Do list, trackers and more. Usually a digital planner will have inserts for a blank page, dotted, ruled/lined and gridded layouts, which can be used many times by just duplicating the original.
