I am a full-time Psychology professor at a community college in Michigan. I love my job! However, I love my students even more! I have a doctorate degree in psychology and 2 master’s degrees; one in social science and the other in sociology. My favorite degree is my GED out of high school because this degree was psychologically and emotionally the hardest to complete.
I have been published in several national newspapers (I apologize—but I am so opinionated) and was an advice columnist for a national woman’s magazine for over 10 years. I am the author of 4 books and I publish, AuthentiK Beauty, a monthly publication that is distributed throughout Michigan.
As an educator, I love to relate current events topics to concepts and subjects in the classroom so that my students can feel and see the connection between what they are learning and how it applies to the real world. I think I was born to play devil’s advocate, so please don’t be offended by some of my views and comments on current issues. My daddy always told me that there are always 3 sides to every story; his side; her side and the truth.
My goal for this site is not to merely regurgitate what is already reported in the news; but stir your soul, touch your heart and challenge your mind, to ask the questions of yourself that need to be asked and wrestle with the raw, uninhibited truth as we try to evolve to be our highest and best selves together.
